Built in 1905 by the American SB Co,Cleveland,Ohio,as JUNIATA,for the Anchor Line as one of three allmost idendical ships 361'x45'x28' All three retired from service late 1930's due to wooden superstructure. She was sold to Wisconsin and Michigan SS Co,in 1940, and taken to Manitowoc SB Co,Manitowoc,Wi and rebuilt as a combination passenger-carferry,and package freighter,and renamed MILWAUKEE CLIPPER. Retired at the end of the 1970 season,and layed up at Muskegon. Towed to Chicago,Il in the latr 1980's as a museum was located at the Navy pier.Sold to the city of Hammond,IN in 1990,and used there as centerpiece to new casino.Sold to S.S.
