sorry for my late reply, yes indeed very small port, vessels have to stay outside at anchorage, when I was there there was 2 small coaster (but coming from valparaiso at 4000 kms far away from easter island) there is 2 barges and they come alongside the vessels. operations are possible only when there is not too much swell....and there is swell very often, so discharging ops are always risky for local dockers....on average there 1 ship a week coming there, with all kind of cargoes, including cars etc....
