Description:

Deal Seaways on a 6 month Charter to DFDS for the new join ferry service in partnership with LD Lines between Dover & Calais. This vessel is the former Barfleur, Brittany Ferries Poole - Cherbourg ferry. Built in 1992, 20133 T. Pictured arriving at Dover for the first time for berthing trails on 27th April 2012.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but most of the Dover-Calais ferries have this so called "Cow Catcher", it is for lining up to berth bow up at Calais, at Dover it is the reverse, they back in stern first.

Untill march 2013 when she will go back to being called "BARFLEUR" and will be back in poole

Yes, and continues the 'D' series of names after D-Class vessels Delft, Dover and Dunkerque Seaways.
