Description:

Under tow in Montreal on Nov. 2, 1996. In June 1993, heavily damaged by fire in Italy. Later, bought by McKeil Marine and towed across the Atlantic Ocean to Halifax by JOAN SALTON. From there, towed to Hamilton, Ont. by two McKeil tugs. Resold to US interests and towed down the Seaway. Rebuilt and renamed NORFOLK. Resold again to Lafarge Cement of Sturgeon Bay, WI. Towed back to the Lakes in 2005 and re-named SAMUEL DE CHAMPLAIN by the new owners and used as a pusher tug. Photo René Beauchamp
