Many thanks to all the guys who have left positive comments about my pic (up and to July 18th). Thanks also to the sad comment from Denis which puts all the others in perspective!

She was the onlly passenger liner I ever sailed on. In 1967 I joined her as AB in Southampton and paid off in Auckland. No one could ever mistake her silhouette, she was one of a kind.

Can someone explain to me why anybody thinks she is "ugly", as she was of an exceptional advanced well image design ( a passenger liner built in 1960 or maybe 1961).

Dave Forbes, she was designed and built for Orient Line.
Denis, she was a liner not a cruiser.

The ugliest cruiser of her time, still.

P&O had some of the best naval architects and designers in the world and each Liner was an individual , not like today's 'off-the-shelf' cruise ships.

She was a beautiful ship--what ships used to look like-absolutely a classic.

While she had an unconvental profile, that some have not admired, she is liteyears more shipshape than many of today's epec monsters! mrdot.
