LA PALMA was the second of two sisters, both completed in 1912 by Harkess , the first being LEON Y CASTILLO for Cia de Vapores Correos Interinsulares Canarios, and from 1931 Cia Trasmediterranea.
Like LA PALMA she enjoyed a long life, finally being broken up in 1981 at Las Palmas, while her sister went on to be the headquarters for the local yacht club.
