Yes, thats right - but for example, when we came to Honningsvag by Costa Pacifica (Jul 11/12, 2012), we could see the midnight sun - also at Ny Alesund/Longyearbyen. ;-)

I had a nice cruise summer - I hope it repeats soon.

Hi, Max.
The midnight sun period for:
The North Cape : May 14 - July 28
Tromso : May 20 - July 22
Longyearbyen, Svalbard : April 20 - August 22
We have not seen much of it this summer.

Helo roar,

I know that AIDAluna comes next year... ;-)
But I would like to know whether the midnight sun period is over or not... ;-)

Thanks Thomas.
AIDALUNA is scheduled to visit H-vag 6 times next year.
AIDACARA 3 times.
Best regards,
Roar.

Roar:
I am still doubtful, if Angelina Jolly would cruise on this ship or rather visit an appropriate exclusive hotel in the Swiss Alps (especially in winter time).
But, the AIDAMAR is also obtaining cruising services in the winter period, so she can compete by providing interesting proposals to attract her good customers.

Hello Roar. Lovely photo! Saw AidaLuna in Bergen some weeks ago..
They dont call at Flaam, unfortunatly.

Hello Jadran.
I bet the new cruise-ships like this is 5-stars, allright.

This ship "looks very fine enough" like a trendy 5-star exclusive hotel in the Swiss Alps".

Hello Max.
Many thanks for kind comment.
She is leaving, and the time is 00:30 local, 22:30 UTC.
Seems that she will be replaced with AIDALUNA next year.
Best regards,
Roar.

Nice shot - is she leaving?
It seems the time of midnight sun is nearly over...

Hello Michael.
It seems that different companys have different design on their ships.
Best regards,
Roar.

person
Well, this angle and light makes her looking fine.

Many thanks, Mr. DOT.
She is not as streamlined as the old ones, but then again,
it's all for the passengers.
Kind regards,
Roar.
