The MIKHAIL KALININ was significantly reconstructed and upgraded to a high standard luxury passenger cruiser at VIKTOR LENAC Shipyard, Rijeka - then Yugoslavia in early 70s.

It's interesting to compare her with the ADZHARIYA of the same class, also recently posted by Gordon, but built later, in 1964. There are quite some differences. That's the kind of stuff that makes shipspotting interesting!
