If it weren't for accountants...all ships would look like this classic beauty.

The both sisters were at their time duly recognizable by the distinctive light green color of their complete superstructure.
Not many of the ships at that time, if any, had a color different than white of their superstructure.

Her sister lasted much longer, and was cruising on this Alaska trip when we photographed her as Calapso! mrdot.

Her sister was SOUTHERN CROSS, built 1955 at John Brown ship builders.
Does anybody know something about her history & faith?

I remember reading the new shipbuilder's description and it seemed like only ten years later this ship was to be scrapped,what a short career she had! mrdot.
