i checked 3-4 Fujinagata builts
but i could have not find same details with mystery other than Shosei Maru
they have some different details.

hmm,,when I was in 76 on the Paula Howaldt Russ we were in charter for MM, but they had at that time a big black "M" on white ground and red frame on a black funnel, did they have different funnels over time ?

She have Japanese flag at the stern.

My first idea was it's a Wilhelmsen Liner, but the 2 purple rings in the funnel are missing.
The black funnel is a typical mark of the french
Cie des Messageries Maritimes

According to the davits the Yob is abt. 1948 - 1953
