Australia's oldest continuously licensed passenger vessel CARTELA, seen in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. 29/12/2012.
CARTELA was built in 1912 at Battery Point, Hobart. The name - Aboriginal for ‘Bull seal’.
After reaching her 100th birthday on the 21st of September 2012, CARTELA will now be decommissioned so major restoration work can be carried out.
The restoration will bring her back to her original state as much as possible including the re-installation of her original steam engine.
