Thank you very much for the information Sotiris! Conditions here in the North Sea can be very though but I can't imagine these ships sailing in the Adriatic having that much better conditions.

I think it's also Superfast maintaining their ships very well. P&O's ferries sailing from Zeebrugge to Hull are covered with rust by the time they need their annual survey, whilst the Superfasts sailing from Zeebrugge to Rosyth (much further up north) looked spotless year round!

That said many ferries in Northern Europe only get repainted only every two years nowadays and just have a few days drydocking to check and clean their hulls and possibly bigger problems but that's about it.

That is right Cedric.She looks remarkably well, but greek legislation obliges ship to be checked as a typical inspection once a year.Although ships condition depends on the environment and weather condition they face.

She looks remarkably well for a ship that needs its annual maintenance. Here in the Channel ships start to look more and more desperate for a lick up paint from November onwards!
