Such accommodation with the width of the hull can be seen mostly on Evergreen ships but those have portholes on sides too.

From what I read I believe Denis is asking about the layout of the accommodation.
As we see the port holes are in the middle of the super-structure only. He thinks that the wings of the accommodation are just void space with no living space on the side of the accomodation

What's going on in the pic is they showing off.
Since the windows are mostly around the center line on the superstructure, I wonder about the rest of closed spaces in there. Any ideas?
