The semi-submersible, mid-water (upto 3,100 feet deep) drilling depth, rig had arrived under tow of the 'Fairmount Sherpa' one week earlier on the 15/03/2013, from a 4,000 mile voyage, from offshore Rio de Janeiro to Las Palmas.
