Cornelia and spotti: you are both right.Brown and grey colors in Santorini landscapes is quite often view when the sky is cloudy.I didnt use any postprocedure in my pc for this photo..only a warm color filter inside the camera, which does not produce results of great difference compared to "reality"..its still natural.
Peter.thank you for the new edition of my photo, much appreciated.but deleting my original is not appreciated, haha!!

The last thing I would like to do is to critizise the admins, however, I would like to mention the following: during a one week stay at the brink of the crater of Santorini, I had the opportunity to watch the water in the hole 24 hours a day from our terrace, and believe me, the water changed color continously. Some times it looked like on this excellent photo. At other times it looked pitch black, which maybe will be rather un-natural to somebody.

I have been criticising images which were heavily photoshopped so they do look un-natural.

Seeing this one here, I would say, the colors ARE natural, but the photo is taken in late evening, or early morning, when the sun is very low and giving the photo a rather pink/orange touch. It is a natural effect during these times of the day, that the sun does color everything reddish and such facts should be included by the admins too, when judging natural versus un-natural colors. Everyone who will go outside with open eyes, will be able to collect many effects like these.

Thanks for the support Kelvin...interesting links and of course none of these links must be deleted also!

"Unnatural colours"?? How about these then; all the same ship and each with different coloured water:

Get a grip! If Roy says these were the colours when he shot this, then those were the colours.
