Description:

CHRYSANTHI, the former CARRIGAN HEAD, built at Belfast in 1958 and purchased by Diamantis Mattheos of Piraeus in 1972, was here photographed at anchor off Apapa/Lagos on 4th January 1976. She had arrived from the Black Sea on 29th August 1975 and eventually berthed at Lagos on 16th May 1976 to discharge her cargo of cement, sailing on 23rd June for Genoa.

She later sailed from Kuwait on 21st October 1978 but suffered damage and arrived at Karachi prior to 1st February 1979, remaining idle for some months before being sold to Macaw Shipping Company Limited. Her name shortened to RYSAN, she sailed to Shuaiba but had a leak in the engine room and finally arrived at Gadani Beach on 25th October 1980 to be broken up.
