Thank you Shaun for your positive comment, these MSC cruise liners are very good looking in a certain modern way, at least their funnels reflect their streamlined look .not like the Costa ones.

Hi Emmanuel and Mark T.

Yeah, it's quite a small world :-) Hope You had an amazing holiday on MSC SPLENDIDA? I certainly loved it, and would definitely do it again.

I sailed with her in the Easter this year, and got totally blown away :-) The crew, the food and her interior were absolutely outstanding!
Unfortunately I wasn't visiting Malta though, as we started out in Civitavecchia and made stops in Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona, Valencia and La Goulette; interesting cities indeed.

Last year I also had the joy of spending a 2 night cruise from Copenhagen to Kiel and back again on board MSC POESIA. Next year I will be back on her on a 7 night cruise in the Norwegian Fjords starting from Copenhagen on August 16. Just like MSC SPLENDIDA, MSC POESIA is a magnificent ship, and I really look forward to see her again. I guarantee, that I will get some pictures to upload afterwards :-)

Hi Jad,Senglea point is a suberb place to take photos especially in the morning,Senglea point is in the middle of Grand harbour and commands a wide view from French creek,Marsa, Valletta wharves and the yacht marina at Vittoriosa plus the harbour entrance. This is my favourite point, sometimes even shooting from my car when the weather is rainy, windy or severly cold.

From this angle ..... it's a *BREATH-TAKING BUILDING* indeed !

Did you manage Emmanuel the last moment to avoid the "running" ship into you ? LOL
Brilliant shot,, all superlatives for it !

No Clive, from personal experience I can say that those balcony cabins are are not that gloomy ,though mine was one of those under the bridge and more outboard than those you are quoting and yes much more lit up naturally. The only trouble was the long haul to the restaurants sited at the stern, those corridors seem never ending ,but then the theatre was just below our cabins. regards.

Hi Soren, Yes they are great to cruise on them ,splendid cabins, food etc. As to design well, I prefer the more classic looks of the old VISTAFJORD. Incidentally I also was on a cruise on the MSC SPLENDIDA during 13 to 20 October 2010. Regular maintenance work was done on the the FANTASIA. As to if the SPLENDIDA will follow ,I don't know, it is a possibility as the No.6 dock can accommodate her "splendidly" Regards.

Those balcony cabins, midships and immediately below what I take to be the lido deck, must be awfully gloomy and almost always in shadow with that overhanging deck above.

Great shot, Emmanuel!

She and her sisters has some of my favourite cruise ship designs in the modern fleets.
I had the joy of spending a week on board MSC Splendida in the Western Mediterranean Sea, and I simply just loved her! My point: Great ship! ;-)

Do You know what they did to her? And if they're going to do the same to MSC Splendida?

Well, thanks for sharing another wonder ;-)

Best regards,
Søren
