The location Pictou, NS makes sense according to Becky. She was owned by the Magdalen Islands Transportation Co. Ltd from 1945 to 1970, a subsidiary of Clarke S.S.

Jean, yes I have photos of D'VORA. Note unusual spelling. I saw her as a wreck at St.Yvon on the Gaspé Coast in 1974. She was wrecked there on Dec. 26, 1968. I never saw her while in service however but have colour and B&W images from other people.

Since she ran between Charlottetown PEI and Pictou NS to les Iles Madelaines and there is no sign of the telltale red PEI soil I am guessing she is backing into the narrow channel at Pictou NS.

May be I confuse with the DVORA. René do you have one picture of this ship?

My memory is telling me this ship might have been owned by Capt Duval a standing character in Canadian home trade . He was also doing voyages in the Carribeans. Rumors about arms trade with CIA as a client were circulating. May be her I mix some souvenirs into a cocktail.
