J.L. Thompson yard number 693. Doxford 67LBDS6 engine by North Eastern Marine, contract number 3285. Thanks for excellent image. I served my apprenticeship at Thompsons. The yard has gone now and in its place are university building and a National Glass Centre. The once busy quay sides are a wide promenade for walkers and cyclists.
