Another great photo of a great ship from the past. Please keep them coming. CG

Ventuari, thanks - the scan came out better than I thought as these old colour slides deteriorate with age while B&W seems to last forever!

Hi Mike. Beautiful shot of this nice classic. Lines of an old era. Congratulations for a wonderful clean scan too.

Beautiful lines ... this was a ship! Her destiny??

Great shot of this classic liner. She made her first call at Southampton on 31st May 1969 en route from Montreal to Gdynia. 39 passengers disembarked at Southampton. As Clive pointed out, she was NOT a cruise ship, but operated liner services.

One of the gardeners we had over was telling me he emigrated to Canada on this Polish ship from Whales! mrdot.

With this livery she was really a very elegant small/midsize liner :o)

A perfect photo of this lovely liner - and she was a liner and not a cruise ship. I sailed on her three times, a voyage to Poland then after a few days there a voyage home (the first part of her longer voyage over to Canada). Then I took her very first cruise up the Norwegian coast. She was a joy to travel on and never will we have the opportunity to experience such a ship again.
