@ Captain Ted: This is not a Meyer-ship. She was built in Bardenfleth (River Weser), part of the town Berne in District Wesermarsch in Lower Saxony. Builder was the shipyard Heinrich Schuerenstedt (1834–1980). Schuerenstedt was builder of smaller boats, especially lifeboats, fishing vessels, inland dry cargo ships and coasters up to 2.500 GRT. Finally shipyard Schuerenstedt went bankrupt in 1979/1980 due to bad finance transactions of third party investors. 435 qualified shipbuilders lost their jobs. EZADEEN launched 5.5.1966 as a coaster named TANTZEN, Owner Otto Eckhardt of Elsfleth. Pls compare with "This ship". Later rebuilt to a cattle carrier. Ships history incomplete. As per Miramar: 66 TANTZEN - 67 ANTARES 1 - 71 DANESEA - 73 ANTARES - 88 OSMAN - 89 AL HAJ OSSMAN - 03 JOUDI-S. - 10 EZADEEN. Should be corrected in the shipspotting-database. Hope this may assist. Regards Peter

Was towed to Italian port of Corigliano by Icelandig coast guard vessel Týr. Arrived on January 2th 2015. There were 400 refugees onboard. The smuglers had left them at see.
