Description:
Former US Maritime Commission Alamosa-class transport seen in operation as a fish processor, moored with the freighter BOWFIN alongside on the Hylebos Waterway.
Built during the closing days of World War II, she operated for Lykes Lines for a year until being transferred to the Army Transportation Service. After three years with the Army she was again transferred to the Navy's Military Sea Transportation Service, which she served until her retirement in 1973 and sale to private owners in 1977.
