TY Clyde and Mr Dot, they were beautiful old time liners, there were an earlier style ship they built and a later version I think

The history of the stated owner(Peninsular & Oriental SN Co) makes interesting reading, including :-
In 1837, the business won a contract from the British Admiralty to deliver mail to the Iberian Peninsula[1] and in 1840 they acquired a contract to deliver mail to Alexandria in Egypt.[1] In 1847 P&O entered the opium trade, shipping 642,000 chests of Bengal and Malwa opium in the next eleven years
