Description:

EXTRACTOR is a Westcoaster 72 built in Western Australia by New Westcoaster Pty Ltd as Hull # 119 for Great Barrier Reef Tuna and launched in August 1998.
Built as a Longline Tuna trawler in GRP

She was subsequently sold to South African interests and sailed there across the Indian Ocean and in 2014 sold again to Saint Marine Resources of St. Helena Island in the South Atlantic Ocean and sailed through the South Atlantic Ocean.

LOA: 72' (22.00 mtrs)
Beam: (Moulded) 6.15 mtrs
Draft: 2.00 mtrs
Callsign: ZHHH
POR: Jamestown
Seen here arriving on her maiden voyage to windward of the Island
Sister vessels: HOOK, BALANCE & CONNECT (the latter aground off the Cape Coast on the 27 February 2014 and broke up within a few hours.
Incidently all fours sister vessels were bought by South African interests and reside in South Africa.
There appears to be an error in her IMO number in that she is one digit short 708453, apparently I've learnt there should be seven digits, am I correct?

Before departing Hout Bay all of her Longlining gear was removed and she was converted for pole & line fishing.
