Built in 1949 by R W Hawthorn Leslie at Hebburn on Tyne, the Jacobite Queen was originally christened the Tyne Queen. Jacobite Cruises Acquired her in 1987 and then rebuilt, refurbished and renamed her along the traditional lines of a small steamer.
