...ro-ro deck went from ramp all the way to fwd end of hatch #2 - see the "box" corners on the "straight" side, where there were also 3 side doors with small cargo lifts on ea side. When loaded with roro and containers - in holds 3 and 4 the containers were "hung" so as to give free "roro-deck" to hold #2. All holds were given wt-doors on roro-deck as well. Once filled to "gills" with containers - max was about 550teu - far cry from today's Madrid Maersk...

Those three were real jack-of-all-trades! ... and beautiful ships to look at - especially from this angle. A pity, they were scrapped before i started making pictures of ships.
