Perhaps shipspotters on Lower Mainland/elsewhere can identify coaster/fishing vessel(s) at bow / stern of ferry.

Update May 6, 2015: After reviewing several youtube videos of the Queen of Sidney in its derelict condition, the name on stern of what appears to be a converted fishing boat (at stern of ferry) is "WATERCOLOUR". And the name of old coaster (at the bow of ferry) bears the name "TALAPUS"...?

Many thanks info regarding WATERCOLOUR (link) and TALAPUS. Mystery vessels finally positively ID'd. Appreciate the research on your part. Thank you again.

The Talapus, tanker, was built 1937 as the BeeCeelite at Sorel, PQ, by Chantiers Manseau Ltdee. for Imperial Oil Co Ltd. Renamed Imperial Nanaimo in 1946 and Talapus in 1974. It is still documented, owned by Icarus Aviation Ltd., Richmond. Watercolour can be found here: http://www.kga.net/portfolio/brushstrokes-watercolor-on-the-waves-2/
