Thanks for the update. Don't know why I had Atlantis II in mind, wishful thinking I suppose...

Judging from the artist's impressions Helgoland has some nice lines, too, she looks modern but somehow also has an air of nostalgia about her:-)

Hi Jens, nice to receive your comment and thanks for your compliment.
The new ferry will be simply named "Helgoland", although "Atlantis II" would fit in my opinion as well, since there are fortunately quite a few design elements from the old lady transferred to the newcomer.

Different sources state that she'll enter service either in May or June this year.

Most beautiful, David. She's one of my favorites, too. Any news on the Atlantis II (was that her intended name, I can't quite remember?)

Absolutely right Jadran, she's one of my favourites! At the time I made the photo, the weather graced her elegant lines. I'll soon post some more shots of her passing.
