Description:

21/05/2015, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
A 'Pulkovskiy Meridian' type fishing freezer trawler.

Keel laid on 15/03/1993, launched on 08/04/1994, and completed on 20/10/1998, by Chernomorskyi SZ, Mykolayiv, Ukraine (615)
4,407 g.t. and 1,810 dwt., as:
'Strata Access' to 2009,
'Garnys' to 2015,
'Sermilik 1' to 2015,
'Vincas Kudirka' to 2016, and
'Ostrov Shikotan' since.

This vessel has been 'undergoing' repairs for several years in the Port of Las Palmas, latterly under the name of 'Garnys' of the Lithuanian company Baltlanta.
See: http://www.baltlanta.lt/?en=start
As there seems to be little record of this vessel's early history, I am wondering if the vessel was delivered, or sold, as an incomplete hull from the builders.. This may explain why Baltlanta have spent so many years trying to bring this ship into operational order at Las Palmas.

The vessel has been in port recently, preparing for sea & loading fishing related gear & etc., with her name 'Garnys' displayed on her port bow.
Today, 21 May 2015, a new chapter seems to have opened. The ship was moved by tugs from one berth to another, and it was then seen that the starboard bow displays no name, however her lifeboats and bridge convoy boards are displaying the name 'Sermilik 1', and with a port of registry of Nuuk, Greenland.

Hi Nektarios, thanks for the info.
Ah! So, Elefsis Bay is where the vessel was hiding for all that time!
Another mystery solved. Good work.
Thanks again,
Rick

@Patalavaca
Please have a look at my photo for her earlier whereabouts. I searched for info on her for years !!!
I was told from a friend in the Piraeus area that she had been laid-up at Elefsis Bay for many years.
