Thank-you Malcolm for identifying her and to everyone for their help and comments. A nearly 50 years old mystery solved!

Dave, my 2nd June 1966 edition of Lloyd's Shipping Index gives the following movements of the three ships listed by Yvon:
AMORGOS - Contrecouer to Black Sea - passed Cap St.Michel 19th May
THERA - sailed Durban 25th May for Dakar
ANTIPAROS - sailed Montreal 8th May for Black Sea

on that basis your photograph must be of THERA

best regards. Malcolm Cranfield

I was there twice, in Febr./March 1966 with the Kaapland. We arived from Walvis Bay at night, departed bound Port Elizabeth -East London- Durban-Lourenco Marques- Beira also at night and on the way back from Lorenco Marques-Port Elisabeth-Durban- East London also arrivel and departure at night. So I have never seen the Table Bay Mountain from Cape Town.

I enjoyed looking at your photo dedge, I am from Cape Town and it is interesting to compare then and now and see how much development has taken place since.

Thanks Yvon and miraflores, certainly of that class. This was my first visit to Cape Town so the photo was of Table Mountain rather than the ship, the result being that I only know the name of the mountain.
Regards,
Dave.

Hi Dedge,
I would say one of the trio :
- AMORGOS / 1961 / 13901 gt / IMO 5015115
- THERA / 1962 / 13906 gt / IMO 5358608
- ANTIPAROS / 1963 / 13862 gt / IMO 5400798
But which one ... ?
Regards,
Yvon
