I've travelled in India and Pakistan a lot, and the swastika is on the front of busses and trucks for good luck. The swastika even made it into Tibetan Buddhism, where it's seen on brocade which covers lecterns from which great spiritual teachers and gurus gave talks.

The swastika is an very old viking symbol. Sadly stolen and misused by the Nazis.

Such a handsome-looking ship.

This was the emblem of Iceland Steam Ship Co from 1914, probably until the late 1960s. Note the shortened arms in this version of the swatika or fylfot

It's a good luck symbol-Hindu etc. They were painted on Indian tankers Jag Priya and Jag prakash before launch in Greenock Dockyard(Scotts)When I worked there

Nice ship serving Iceland with Europe. But with a very strange swastika looking symbol on the bow.
