I belive a larger fire broke out and 3 crewmembers stayed behind to fight the fire. There where no casulties in this attack. The ship where sold for scrapping after the attack.

Mattyboy,
Tankers are inherently stable ships, being designed to bimble around half sunk anyway. Ergo, a missile or torpedo hit was not normally fatal unless it caused a fire/explosion or broke her back. Some of the patching up jobs going on at the time were incredible feats of ingenuity and engineering, just to keep the ships running for what were astronomical charter rates.
Crazy, crazy days up the Perishin Gulf!
Still, the danger money was something else!

Well, looks like she didn't explode & sink. A testament to her builders or it was a lousy shot !!
