FILIPINA PRINCESS (Ferry Akashia -88), 13,705/73 - passenger/vehicle ferry, owned by Sulpicio Lines Inc., Philippines. Grounded 12/5/2006 in Carmel Bay, near Tablas Island, central Philippines, when sheltering from the tropical storm "Chanchu". The passengers were transferred and she was refloated 15/5 with tug assistance. Damage was confined to her propellers and she proceeded to Manila. She was on passage from Davao for Manila with over 700 passengers and crew.
