Description:

LYNTON GRANGE was a bulker built at Sunderland in 1976 for Houlder Bros.
This was taken in July 1977 as she left Glasgow after discharging a grain cargo.
With reference to the following comments, I belive she was scrapped in 2000.

Paul, built 1976, 15,903 GRT motor ship single screw, service speed 15 knots. Sold `1982 and renamed NORTHERN CHERRY,sold again 1990 renamed CHIOS CHARM.

One of the "B26T Class - Quite successful, were Lakes fitted and unusually for modern bulkers had no bulbous bow. Why oh why did Houlder's use that awful Lime Green on the superstructure. Done the same to the collier "OSWESTRY GRANGE" - Reminds me of an hospital ward :roll:

Yes, it was a bit off. Something like the pale blue Reardon Smith applied to some of their bulkers.
