Thanks for the info on the UGANDA, canberra97, I had the notion that she was built as a troopship but apparently that was not so. She was used as a troopship in the Falklands war in 1982, where she was also used as a hospital ship. thanks and regards.

The Uganda was not built as a Troop ship, she was built for BI Lines (British & India Lines) and entered service in 1952 for BI Lines East African, Uganda was converted at Hamburg in 1967 to a Educational Schools cruise ship, she was requisitioned by the UK Government in 1982 to act as a Hospital ship during the Falkands Conflict, she was eventually scrapped in 1986.
