Description:

Santa Cruz de La Palma, Canary Islands, harbour overview.
Early morning and with a different angle ( first shot from the North ). Really a long shot, and later that day the port full house.
Better quality at Full screen.

Hi Jadran. Well,...jeje...Thanks God by car to most of the spotting locations before mentioned, unless one that after arriving by car you need to walk down the cliff about 250 meters and later back to your car walking up the...thats the worst. Remember that La Palma island its just a huge Volcano, with really high (between 2000 and 2500 meters) mountains for the total size of the island. Check in Google Earth, its really an interesting island.
Thanks again for your kind comments and compliments.
MBregards from Tenerife.

Thank you Ventuari my friend,, for your very-very detailed & comprehensive response with indeed a plenty of description :-)
I now got a rather clear picture about Santa Cruz de La Palma harbour & city, and moreover, a good idea of the locations from where you shoot your excellent photographs ( to be frank, I'm pretty excited about those 3 locations on the mountain that you have specifically mentioned; how do you reach/climb up there... by what mean ? ).
Greetings to you Ventuari from Rijeka and Croatia,
Jadran

Hi Jadran. Yes indeed the sizes comp. its something...jeje and its the Braemar ( a regular one at S.C.de La Palma ) Well my friend I spent (temporary) the last 4 years at La Palma island. I am now back to my "homeport"-permanently home at Santa Cruz de Tenerife since mid May.
Yes, your comment about the spotting locations its right. One of the locations at 170 meters (drone equivalent altitude...jajaja) from the shot angle almost on top of Braemar bridge, two more spotting locations to the right of the shot, one at 220 and the other at 400 meters osl...For the shots at sea level a lot of places from left to right of the shot.
Well my friend the commercial shops, bars, coffee shops, restaurants and so on begins just at the corner where this new small breakwater at the left of the shot its located. From there more than 1 km up to the port entrance. Its a long walk with a lot of nice places. The city limits begins where those buildings at the foreground right of the shot close to that small green square and remember that the shot its taken from outside of the city limits, far away up to the North.
Well my friend thanks again for your kind comments.
MBregards from Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Yes, it is Braemar. She was a pretty little ship until they decided to lengthen her.

Would the smaller vessel be Braemar?

On this image that 'white cruiser' (seen to the right; what can be its Name ? ) really looks like a "pocket-size" cruiser compared to the huge size of the Queen Mary 2

Ventuari,, I always get mixed-up,, do you permanently live at Santa Cruz de la Palma or Santa Cruz de Tenerife ?

I suppose you take the most of your photos from the mountain that is seen in the background of this fine photo,, on what altitude do you shoot i.e. from what height from the sea ?
Bregards (J)

PS
Within that block of buildings, in the foreground, I don't see any commercial shops, bars, coffee shops, pizza restaurants or any other public spaces (especially for tourists) ..... except that small green square; :D
