Description:

AMERICAN FORTITUDE - 1 October 2015 - Patiently awaiting her turn at the scrapyard in Port Colborne.. Over the past few months she has been extensively stripped out.. Her forward cabins appear to be entirely bare inside and astern there is little left aboard but the paint on the walls.. In recent weeks huge garbage bins full of everything which once furnished all of her interior spaces have been lifted ashore.. Photos by Jeff Cameron..

Yes, that is the remains of the former JADRAN.. Once scrapping of the ALGOMA PROGRESS is completed, JADRAN's hull will be moved to the scrapping slip and pulled from the water and cut up.. I'll post some photos of JADRAN..

Too bad seeing another Great Lakes classic meet her end. Funny, her self-unloader looks almost new compared to the rest of the vessel. I assume that's the hull of JADRAN tied up next to her?
Kind Regards, Kyle
