The RN Officer onboard is usually appointed as the navigator, there is also normally an RN CPO or Warrant Officer onboard as well.
Because the US Navy operates a "dry ship" policy and the RN does not, a small stock of alcohol is carried onboard for the use of the embarked RN personnel only.
