Bundesmarine (West German Navy) training ship. Commissioned 1963; decommissioned 1993. First West German warship to exceed the post-WWII limit of 3,000 tons
Displacement: 4,880t standard; 5,684t full load
Built by Werft Nobiskrug GmbH, Rendsburg, West Germany. Yard no: 618
Propulsion: triple-screw 4 x 16-cylinder, four-stroke MTU diesels of 8,000 bhp (total) powering outside screws + 8,400 shp steam turbine geared to centre screw. Speed: 16 knots (diesel only); 21 knots (diesel + steam)
1994-arrived breakers at Alang, India 16/3, in tow of Russian tug SVETLOMOR 3
