1903 Gentleman’s Schooner

Boomerang, an Edwardian gentleman’s schooner is maintained by Sydney Heritage Fleet for use by members. She was built in Lavender Bay Sydney Harbour in 1903. Her deck house features wonderful cedar carvings of Aboriginal art. The deck house also provides for comfortable seating out of the weather and the glass panels ensure a 360 degree view of the activity on the Harbour. Below decks there is a cabin again featuring cedar carvings and providing a comfortable area for dining.

In right background is submarine HMAS Rankin S78 with mooring used as turning mark by Wednesday afternoon racing yachties.
