For the first 16 years of her career, this ship sailed as FARSISTAN in the fleet of London-based Strick Line Ltd. In 1975, when P&O absorbed most of its acquired subsidiaries under one banner, FARSISTAN became STRATHADDIE in the P&O fleet, until being sold in 1978 to become SOPHOCLES (as photo.
In 1981 she was sold to Maldives Shipping Ltd, Maldive Islands becoming MALDIVE PRIDE and on the 9th October 1983 she arrived at Visakhapatnam, India for scrapping.
