Description:

Dutch tanker PURMEREND taking bunkers at Las Palmas in 2/1971. Built at Amsterdam in 1957, became Greek BARONESS in 1972 and DYNAMIC MARINER in 1973. Arrived Kaohsiung in 4/1975 to be scrapped.

Note the garbage drums fixed outward on the aft mooring deck port side. Such arrangements would cause an outcry in ports today.
But-different times back then, different rules :-)

One of the non-Shell owned Shell 18,000dwt Standard Tankers of the fifties.
Built by Nederlandsche Drydock and Shipbuilding Amsterdam. Launched:29/6/1957. Completed:10/1957.
12,200 gt and 18,280 dwt. Single screw steam turbine - 14.5 knots.
1957 - "PURMEREND" - NV Amsterdamsche Maritiem Tpt. Mij., Amsterdam, Netherlands
1972 - ownership to Buchanan Shipping Co., Inc., Monrovia, Liberia
1972 - "BARONESS" - Kosmos Nav. Co. Ltd., Piraeus, Greece
1973 - "DYNAMIC MARINER" - Cape Coral de Nav. SA, Piraeus, Greece.
8/4/1975 - broken up at Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Made one coastal voyage in New Zealand (9/1967) on charter to Shell.
