In May 1966 Nouvelle Cie. Havraise Peninsulaire of Dunkirk had taken delivery of the IVOLINA from the shipyard of Seine Maritime at Le Trait. Her first voyage was from Le Havre, sailing on 26th May 1966 bound for Kingston, Jamaica.

IVOLINA was here seen passing Portishead, inbound for Avonmouth, on 25th July 1966.
