ADDED 16 September 2016. From Lloyds List Australia
We have today had confirmed from the Federal Court of Australia that the ship Hanjin California (IMO 9631101) has been re-arrested i.e. arrested for a second time.
Details are currently scant but we understand that the second arrest took place on 8 September 2016 at 1310 hours by Federal Court Marshals at the vessel’s current berth at Glebe Island 1 at Port of Sydney by Chemoil.
Chemoil is a supplier of marine fuels.
So far, to the best knowledge of Lloyd’s List Australia, the Hanjin California has been arrested once by Chemoil and once by Glencore.
In respect of the Glencore arrest, two parties – being DP World Australia and the other being Torres Pilots, have filed caveats against arrest.
