Well, the Greeks wanted to replace their ageing Liberties with a step up to +/-14,000dwt, slow speed diesel and a price of under $1mn. Dozens of Greeks, Chinese, Brits, Cubans, Germans etc etc got what they were prepared to pay for, sometimes by adding extras for better cargo gear, for example.

Could not agree more with you Dennis!
Have you ever been inside her accommodation?
Have you ever seen her cargo gear and holds?
Those SD14 aka new Liberties were already
outdated the moment they were launched...
Floating scrapbuckets. Underpowered & under-
geared. Poor crews sailing those buckets.
