Interesting photo Vlad, its quite fun to try and guess the changes some of which are quite obvious. certainly looks like the funnel arrangement is moved aft so more decks with higher tiers between the two superstructures.

As always look fwd to more pics from Vlad and Tarbatness in the coming weeks.

Thanks Vlad! Next time in Korea, I will make sure to ping you first. This time around however, I was busy 24/7 with no time to spare at all, so no chance for drinks at all :-(. Anyway: I feel like I owe you some beers as a 'thank you' for all your photos. So hopefully, there is a next time.

As far as the MADRID MAERSK is concerned, I feel (not sure) that also the engine room has moved back one bay. Hence it looks as if the arrangement went from 8/10/6 EEE-1) to 6/13/5 (EEE-2). Soon, your pictures will tell...

@Jan, yes, the increase hull depth was obvious from the photo previously posted by Tarbatness. I guess it would be possible to see this also from my photo, by the distance from the accommodation ladder cut-out to the main deck.
Circling above DSME is the standard practice when landing at Gimhae airport, when arriving from Seoul or the south; just as you'd get a decent view of the HHI in Ulsan when arriving from Tokyo or Osaka.

Btw, next time when you're in the neighborhood, let me know so we may grab some beers.

Cheers

Vlad

@ Vlad: That and the increased hull depth from tanktop to hatch, adding one tier of boxes under deck. Further, there are changes to the main engine plant as we discussed earlier. Last week, landing into Gimhae airport, I circled over DSME to do a southern approach. Too bad it was dark. I would have loved to take a photo from high up above :-(

Hi Roy,

She's scheduled for floating out 5 weeks from today; I think that she is looking to be on schedule.
Some design details/differences from the 1st series emerge: accommodation ladder hull cut-out is obviously shifted forward, and the lashing bridges are higher. So this is the confirmation of the info already shared here on this site by the people "in the know"...

Cheers
