Well, when Hyundai will start using their dry docks for breaking, that will mean really serious trouble for Korean shipbuilding...but we should keep an open mind.

So far, I am seeing ships being demolished here in Korea in some small repair shipyards only.

To beach or not to beach... is a statutory question; it means politics is involved, and so it becomes increasingly difficult to solve.
However, now that many ship building facilities are in trouble, I expect some "clean" (= dry dock) players entering the breaking market.

Very clean idea of how shipbreaking can be done , instead of ramming the ship up the beach , remove all above the waterline then dry dock her to complete the task
Shall we tell the India and Pakistan ?
