Description:

Built 1931 by John I Thornycroft & Co Ltd, Hampton-on-Thames as BLUE BIRD for land and water speed record holder Sir Malcolm Campbell.
She was one of the many small boats that helped evacuate retreating British and French troops from the beaches of Dunkerque in 1940.
Originally powered by two petrol engines, she is now propelled by a pair of Perkins diesels
