Thanks csaba for your comment. The Park is pretty much on the other side of the city from your usual stomping ground (English Bay).... :)
During my Vancouver visits I find New Brighton Park to be a good location for shipspotting. I take bus #4 Powell on Cordova (2 blocks from Waterfront Station). It's about a 25 minute ride to McGill & North Renfrew. Then just a walk down the hill to the park. Good vantage point for Cascadia/Lynnterm and Neptune terminals. Also provides a ring side seat for traffic moving up and down Burrard Inlet in the vicinity 2nd Narrows Bridge.
