Valen - She is a Craned Bulk Carrier - Originally built for Akle Jebsen, Norway and neityher they nor Ership, Madrid have owned tweendeckers which basically are general cargo ships for at least forty years :-o

I agree, she is looking as pure bulker. In my practice, I have seen few times, tweendeckers taking bulk cargo, i.e. sugar, soda.
Anyway, in the Equasis (http://www.equasis.org/) and Black Sea MOU (http://www.bsmou.org/) the Fenix is mentioned as general cargo. Furtermore, in the Ership website, (direct link to vsl: http://www.ership.com/engl/b5.html ) could be found the ship's plan - it seems she is (was) able to carry containers.
